he research group KB45 (Art in Belgium since 1945, Ghent University) and CKV (The Centre for Art Archives Flanders) warmly invite you to Sauf Liège: Art in Liège in the 1980s. Tectonic ’84, Place Saint-Lambert Investigations and other manifestations. During this afternoon, researchers, organizers, participating artists and heirs will reflect on several major urban art projects and artistic interventions in Liège in the 1980s, with attention to their significance, context, reception and realization. The program will be bilingual. Each part indicates whether it takes place in Dutch (NL) or French (FR).

2:00 - 2:20 pm

Introduction to Tectonic ’84 and Place Saint-Lambert Investigations by drs. Jakob Deploige (UGent) (NL).

2:20 - 2:30 pm

Screening reports on Tectonic ’84 and Place Saint-Lambert Investigations from the RTBF archive - with the support of SONUMA – Les archives audiovisuelles (FR).

2:30 - 3:15 pm

Conversation with Laurent Jacob and Daniel Dutrieux. Moderators: drs. Jakob Deploige and prof. dr. Wouter Davidts (UGent) (FR).

3:15 - 4:00 pm

Conversation with Ann Veronica Janssens about her participation in Place Saint-Lambert Investigations. Moderator: Jeroen Staes (CKV) (FR).

BREAK (15min).

4:15 - 4:45 pm

MesurRAGE de la place Saint-Lambert : ORLAN et le Cirque Divers (1980) by prof. dr. Julie Bawin (Université de Liège) (FR).

4:45 - 5:30 pm

Panel discussion with Camille Bladt, Stella Lohaus and Kaat Obbels about the archives of Philippe Van Snick, Bernd Lohaus and Jef Geys in relation to the Liège context of the 1980s. Moderator: Jeroen Staes (NL).

The afternoon will conclude with a reception.
